In the morning, you will be picked from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and drive southwards to Bwindi National park, with en route stops for sightseeing at the equator and lunch in Mbarara or Kabale depending on the day’s schedule. You will proceed to Bwindi NP; home to half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world, reaching in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Trekkers' Tavern Cottages (budget)/ Bakiga Lodge / L.Mulehe safari lodge (deluxe)/ Ruzogo lodge/ Four Gorillas lodge (luxury)
In the morning, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing from the park rangers about the dos and don'ts while with the gorillas. Proceed for the memorable adventure in the forest, an activity that may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the animals. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, then descend to the park headquarters and then to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you may go for a community tour to the Batwa village or take a canoe ride on any of the nearby lakes depending on the lodge you will sleep at. Overnight at day 1
In the morning you will transfer back to Entebbe for drop off at your hotel or airport. An en route stop over at the Igongo cultural center will give you knowledge about the history and culture of the Ankole kingdom. Proceed for drop off at the airport or hotel.
This can as well be done starting and ending from Kigali and the distance would even be shorter
